When I was little I had a small keychain sliding block puzzle featuring The Hulk. I remember very well the original image with all the pieces in place. I still remember my pretentious ideals (I can undo and solve it again, mwa ha ha!), and I can´t forget how they were shattered to pieces after endless vain attempts to bring back The Hulk to shape, which was finally left alone in the thick mist of oblivion, condemned to suffer an amorphous state of eternal, merciless, evergrowing entropy…

Many things have changed since then (I´m not pretentious anymore!), but I guess that the mist of oblivion was merely a cloud, for I remembered that Hulk puzzle instantly when I got to the page above. There you will find a good amount of sliding block puzzles ready for you to play from the computer, from recreations of wooden classics to modern designs. There are so many and so varied as to dare to say that they´ll keep you frustrated entertained for a very long time. Still, if you are of the curious kind, www.johnrausch.com/ offers links to several other puzzle-themed sites, covering all sorts of details from books to craftsmen. Loosely related to the sliding block puzzles, you shouldn´t miss the boxes designed by Yoshio Okiyama, most likely impossible to open even with instructions, or a heart-shaped “Love Box“, very appropriate for the forecoming Valentine´s.
