We can’t see these subtle spirits, since they are of a nature such that they hide from our senses. They identify themselves with the concrete things, but they are universal.

The ancient ones tried to avoid any superfluous word, to prevent their actions from reflecting the sterility of the useless words.

I have always heard that a worthy man must help the poor, but not augment the goods of the rich.
